Sports Day 2019-20

On Monday 18th November 2019, the enthusiastic students of Greenlawns School, Worli assembled at the Priyadarshani Park with an aim to win the GOLD. YES… it was their Sports Day, one of the most awaited days of the year as the students the alluring the trophies. The senior students determined and aimed to go for the ATHLETE OF THE YEAR TROPHY. The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm and excitement. The sports day organined by our sports teacher, Sir Sandip addressed our esteemed Principal, Miss Caroline Vaz as she declared the Annual Sports Meet open and the Chief guests for the afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Shah and Mr. and Mrs. Doshi graced the occasion. The march past marked the commencement of our Sports Day. The thrilling sports events included the 80m run, 100m run, the 200m run, the 400m run, relays, long jump, tug of war and many more. Even the teachers, parents, ex-students and staff exhibited zeal in participating in their category.The exciting Sports Day came to an end with the Prize distribution and the Green House taking away the Sports Trophy. The singing of the National Anthem ended this memorable sports Day.Truly, this undiminishing sports fever shall continue to burn in our hearts until the next Sports Day in 2020.

Games are an integral part of the holistic development which direct one to be competitive while keeping the spirit of honesty and camaraderie alive. Keeping with the same, the final Inter-House Football Match was played on December 17, 2019 at PDP between the Secondary section Boys (Classes V to X) of Green House and Blue House . Both the teams tried to outshine each other on the field to show their mettle. Green House emerged victorious. The team could be seen jubilantly celebrating its victory after the match. Well done Green House!!!!!!

What better way to imbibe sportmanspirit, than engaging in different forms of sports. Keeping this in mind, we at Greenlawns School, Worli engage children in varied physical activities every week during their P. E. classes, held at the Adarsh Nagar ground.
